India A enters final of ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars, beats Sri Lanka A by five wickets in semifinal
India A entered the final of the ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars with a five-wicket win over Sri Lanka A in Friday’s semifinal at the Terdthai Cricket Ground, Bangkok, on Friday. India will meet the winner of the second semifinal between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Captain Radha Yadav was named Player of the Match for a decisive all-round display, returning figures of four for 19 before smashing an unbeaten 31 off 18 balls in a tricky chase.
After choosing to bat, Sri Lanka A was bowled out for 118, with Radha leading the attack. Tanuja Kanwer and Prema Rawat chipped in with two wickets each to keep the scoring in check.
In reply, Vrinda Dinesh laid the platform with a brisk 42 off 20 balls at the top. Though India A lost a few wickets along the way, Radha’s late flourish ensured the side crossed the line comfortably to seal a spot in the final.
The final will be played on February 22.
