T20 World Cup Super 8s Points Table: India joins South Africa in semifinal; West Indies eliminated
India qualified for the semifinal of the T20 World Cup 2026 after beating West Indies by five wickets in their Super Eight clash at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday.
The victory means India will finish ahead of West Indies in Group 2 to join South Africa in the final four of the competition.
Pakistan fell just short of second place in Group 2 despite a five-run win over Sri Lanka in Pallekele. Despite the two points earned, the side did not manage to overtake New Zealand’s Net Run Rate, allowing the Kiwis to join England as the two teams qualifying from the group.
