IPL 2026: Pre-season training camp dates and schedule for all 10 teams ahead of new season

Ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season, a host of teams have begun their training camps as they look to ramp up their preparations and get into match mode with the tournament less than a month away.

IPL 2026 is set to begin on March 28, with the final scheduled for May 31.

Here are the teams that have officially started their pre-season training:

Chennai Super Kings

The five-time champion officially started its pre-season camp on March 1 at the team’s High Performance Centre in Navalur under assistant coaches S. Sriram and Rajeev Kumar. The current training contingent includes captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, MS Dhoni, Ayush Mhatre, Urvil Patel, Mukesh Choudhary, and Prashant Veer. The current contingent includes only Indian players, with overseas recruits set to join later in the month. Head coach Stephen Fleming and bowling coach Eric Simons are expected to arrive in Chennai by March 16.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru

The defending champion’s preparations for IPL 2026 kick-started officially on February 10 with a pre-season camp that included the core coaching group and domestic stars. Jitesh Sharma, Venkatesh Iyer and Suyash Sharma were some of the notable players who attended the camp, while RCB head coach Andy Flower and Director of Cricket, Mo Bobat, were also present.

Gujarat Titans

The Shubman Gill-led team held its pre-season camp at the Miraj International Cricket Stadium in Nathdwara on February 16. Captain Gill was part of the preparations, while Sai Sudharsan also attended the camp. Around 12-13 players were available for the training camp, which was overseen by the coaching staff. GT had also held a camp in January. The final pre-season camp is expected to begin 12 to 15 days ahead of the start of the tournament.

Punjab Kings

Last year’s finalist held a training camp from February 8 to 14 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The camp was attended by key players, including Yuzvendra Chahal, Shashank Singh, Prabhsimran Singh, Nehal Wadhera, Harpreet Brar, Pyla Avinash, Vishal Nishad, Priyansh Arya, Pravin Dubey, and Yash Thakur, with a focus on fitness, match practice, and team bonding ahead of the upcoming season. The team also had a training camp from January 16 to 20 in Udaipur. The Shreyas Iyer-led side is expected to have another pre-season camp from March 15.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

The team started training on March 1 in Hyderabad with its contingent largely comprising Indian uncapped domestic players. The pre-season camp was headed SRH’s newly appointed bowling, Varun Aaron, and included veteran seamers Harshal Patel, amongst others.

Mumbai Indians

Players, such as Shardul Thakur and Deepak Chahar, are preparing for the IPL 2026 season by taking part in the DY Patil T20 Cup. The team is expected to start its training camp around March 12-15, with the overseas players also joining the preparations following the completion of the T20 World Cup.

Rajasthan Royals

The Royals will reportedly hold their first pre-season training camp from March 15 in Jaipur, and they are likely to have the whole squad at their disposal by the second week of March. In February, the likes of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Ravi Bishnoi and Sandeep Sharma took part in some training sessions at the High Performance Centre in Nagpur. Rajasthan Royals will be led by Riyan Parag in IPL 2026 after Sanju Samson was traded to CSK ahead of the season.

Kolkata Knight Riders

KKR will begin its pre-season training on March 18 in Kolkata while the players will arrive in the city a day prior. According to some reports, uncapped domestic players such as Tejasvi Singh, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Ramandeep Singh, Prashant Solanki, and Sarthak Ranjan will join the camp, along with captain Ajinkya Rahane. Rinku Singh and Varun Chakaravarthy are expected to join the team a day or two later.

Delhi Capitals

While some of the players warmed up for the upcoming season with a training camp in Hyderabad last month, the team’s official pre-season camp is expected to begin on March 14 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Lucknow Super Giants

LSG warmed up for the new season by sending its pacers, Avesh Khan, Mohsin Khan and Naman Tiwari, to Durban for a training stint ahead of the SA20 season earlier this year. The three pacers were accompanied by LSG’s coaching staff, which included Lance Klusener, Tom Moody, Bharat Arun and Carl Crowe. The main training camp is expected to begin in the first week of March in Lucknow.
