RR vs GT: Jofra Archer bowls joint-longest over in IPL history against Gujarat Titans
Jofra Archer bowled an 11-ball over — the joint-longest in IPL history — for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on May 9.
The English fast bowler’s first over featured four wides and a no-ball, and cost 18 runs.
Archer’s over is also the longest first over of in IPL history, taking the record from Shamar Joseph, who bowled a 10-ball opening over for Lucknow Super Giants against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2024.
Arshdeep Singh, Hardik Pandya, Shardul Thakur, Sandeep Sharma, Tushar Deshpande, and Mohammed Siraj are the others to have bowled overs comprising 11 deliveries.
Arshdeep’s 11-ball over was also this season against Gujarat Titans in New Chandigarh.
