GT vs RR, IPL 2026 Qualifier 2: Sai Sudharsan hits wickets again vs Rajasthan Royals
For the second time in as many games, Gujarat Titans opener Sai Sudharsan was hit wicket against Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) Qualifier 2 match in Mullanpur on Friday night.
The incident took place in the 13th over when Sudharsan, who has cruising at 58, sliced a full toss behind square for four off Brijesh Sharma’s bowling.
After playing the shot, Sudharsan lost control of his bat from his hands, and his willow subsequently crashed into the stumps, like it did in the Qualifer 1 match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Sudharsan put his hands on the back of his head in utter disbelief and so did GT captain Shubman Gill, who fell to his knees, looking shocked.
This is the third time that Sudharsan has gotten out hit wicket in his IPL career, the only player to have gotten out hit wicket on more than one occasion in the history of the competition.
There have been 20 previous instances of a batter getting hit wicket in the IPL.
