Arvind SmartSpaces shares in focus after Godrej Properties’ Pirojsha Adi Godrej buys 1.8% stake
Shares of Arvind SmartSpaces will be in focus tomorrow, March 10, after data available on the stock exchanges showed that Pirojsha Adi Godrej, Executive Chairperson of Godrej Properties, purchased a stake in the company through a market transaction.
According to data available on the BSE Limited, Pirojsha Adi Godrej bought approximately 8,17,530 shares, representing around 1.8% stake in Arvind SmartSpaces. The shares were acquired at a price of ₹498 per share, indicating a transaction value of roughly ₹40.7 crore.
The seller in the transaction was HDFC Capital Affordable Real Estate Fund-1, which offloaded an equivalent number of shares at the same price, as per the exchange data.
Stock movement on the day
Following the transaction, shares of Arvind SmartSpaces witnessed some volatility during Monday’s trading session. The stock closed at ₹501.35, down ₹6.45 or 1.27% compared with the previous close of ₹507.80.
During the session, the stock opened at ₹500 and moved in a range of ₹486.80 to ₹505. The average traded price during the day stood at around ₹496.10, with traded volumes of approximately 78,917 shares, according to exchange data.
Shareholding structure
As per the company’s latest shareholding pattern, promoters hold around 49.8% stake in the company, while public shareholders account for about 50.18%.
Among institutional investors, HDFC Capital held around 8.7% stake in Arvind SmartSpaces prior to the transaction, making it one of the notable investors in the company.
The latest stake purchase by the Godrej Properties executive is likely to attract investor attention as it reflects interest from a prominent figure in India’s real estate sector.
