The Dutchman has always been Gian Piero Gasperini’s top target this month, and the Giallorossi will continue negotiations with Manchester United despite having reached agreements to sign Donyell Malen from Aston Villa and Robinio Vaz from Marseille.

According to Journal and Sky Sport Italia, Roma remain very much interested in signing Zirkzee, but the striker’s future will also depend on the assessments of Red Devils’ caretaker coach Michael Carrick.

Zirkzee, however, seems to have sent a signal regarding his future at Old Trafford by removing any Manchester United reference from his Instagram bio, along with the photo of him wearing the Red Devils’ shirt.

Roma are aware that reaching an agreement with Manchester United won’t be quick, so they are also monitoring Ajax’s Mika Godts and Hellas Verona’s Giovane.
