Jasprit Bumrah: The fourth Test of the series is being played between India and Australia in Melbourne. 19 year old batsman Sam Kontas has made his debut for Australia in this test. This young player has created a stir since his debut and has come into limelight on the basis of his performance. Sam Kontas had said before the match that if he gets a chance to debut, he will attack Jasprit Bumrah and did the same. From the very first ball of Bumrah, Kontas was seen in a mood to put pressure on him, sometimes he was seen hitting a reverse sweep, sometimes a scoop shot and sometimes a six. This batsman hit not one but two sixes on Bumrah. After 1,112 days and 4,483 balls, this was the first time in Test cricket that a batsman hit a six on Bumrah. Kontas scored 33 runs in 34 balls on Bumrah. Kontas is the third batsman after Jos Buttler and Cameron Green to hit a six on Bumrah in Test.
Half century in debut match
Sam Kontas's debut has been excellent and memorable. Kontas, who came to open the innings with Usman Khawaja, played an inning of 60 runs in 65 balls. In this innings he hit 6 fours and 2 sixes. He was out on Jadeja's ball.
dispute with virat
Along with his attack against Bumrah, Sam Kontas is also in the news for his dispute with Virat Kohli. During the match, when the batsmen were changing the crease after the end of the over, Virat was leaving the ball on the other side of the wicket, while Kontas was also going towards Virat. Both of them did not see each other and as a result their shoulders clashed. There was an altercation between the two on this. The matter has reached the ICC and now the apex body will give its decision on the matter.
