As soon as he was released from Mumbai Indians, this player made a world record, leaving behind 21 players in one stroke.
Vignesh Puthur: The first round of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 was played on 24 December. Many star players took part in the first round. Rohit Sharma played for Mumbai, while Delhi was represented by Virat Kohli. Both the batsmen remained in the news after playing century innings for their respective teams. On the other hand, in the match played between Kerala and Tripura, former Mumbai Indians spin bowler Vignesh Puthur made a world record. Before this, no player could accomplish this feat.
Vignesh Puthur made world record
Vignesh Puthur created history by participating in this match for Kerala. He made a world record not in batting and bowling, but in fielding. Vignesh Puthur has become the first player to take 6 catches in a match. He made this record as a non-wicketkeeper. Before this, no player had been able to achieve this feat in List A cricket. Till now, 21 players had taken 5 catches in a match. But Vignesh Puthur left everyone behind and created a world record. The spin bowler did not impress much in bowling. He took only 1 wicket while conceding 28 runs in only 6 overs. But he did wonders in fielding.
