Madhya Pradesh’s Asad Khan became Atharva Tyagi, know what hurt him and adopted Sanatan Dharma

A case reported from Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh has given rise to discussion, where a young man has decided to leave Islam and adopt Hinduism. Before religious conversion, the young man’s name was Asad Khan, whereas now he has changed his new name to Atharva Tyagi. The young man went to Varanasi (Banaras) in Uttar Pradesh and entered Sanatan Dharma with complete Vedic rituals. But why did Asad suddenly become Atharva Tyagi, what happened that inspired Asad towards Sanatan Dharma? Let us know the answers to these questions.

Formal return to religion took place in Banaras

Asad Khan, who is a resident of Makronia region of Sagar, reached Banaras for religious conversion. There, religious rituals were performed with Vedic chanting in the presence of pundits at Assi Ghat. First of all, purification was done by taking Panchagavya bath and then by taking bath in Ganga. After this, the Mundan ceremony of the young man was performed and the havan puja was completed.

In the next stage of the religious process, he reached Kashi Vishwanath temple, where he had darshan of Baba Vishwanath and anointed the Shivalinga. He also participated in Ganga Aarti in the evening. Ultimately he was returned home with Bhandare in Vedic rites, after which he formally accepted Hinduism.

Gave reasons for renouncing Islam

Now the young man called Atharva Tyagi has also shared the reason behind his decision. He says that for a long time he was feeling uncomfortable with some religious beliefs and social constraints present in the religion of Islam. Opposition to idol worship, strictness regarding food habits and some religious rules troubled him mentally.

Atharva says that he has had deep faith in Lord Mahakal since the beginning, but due to family and social pressure, he has never been able to express his feelings openly. Being prevented from worshiping idols distressed him from within.

Hurt by the killing of Hindus in Bangladesh

Not only this, according to Atharva, the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh also hurt him and inspired him towards Sanatan Dharma. After this he decided to come to Kashi and convert his religion under the supervision of Brahmins.

Inner peace and new identity

The young man clarified that he had taken the decision to convert not under any pressure or greed, but purely on the basis of his wish and faith. He says that after adopting Sanatan Dharma, he is experiencing spiritual peace and mental balance.

With the change of religion, he changed his name to Atharva Tyagi, which he sees as a new beginning and new identity in his life. This faith-related journey from Sagar to Banaras has now become a topic of discussion at the local level.

Atharva is an engineer by profession

The young man who became Atharva from Asad is a civil engineer by profession. 33-year-old Asad started contracting after studying civil engineering. But his mind was towards Hindu religion from the beginning and finally he listened to his heart and adopted Sanatan.
