Asad Khan painted in the colors of Sanatan, changed his name to ‘Atharva Tyagi’, absorbed in the devotion of Bajrang Bali.
A unique confluence of faith was seen on the holy banks of Varanasi, where a Muslim youth from Madhya Pradesh has adopted Sanatan Dharma. Asad Khan, an engineer by profession, will now be known as ‘Atharva Tyagi’. After converting to religion, he has described himself as an ardent devotee of Bajrang Bali.
Purification took place on the waves of Ganga
This entire process of religious conversion took place in a very special way in Kashi. Asad Khan was purified by 21 learned Brahmins chanting Vedic mantras on a boat in the middle of river Ganga. During this, worship was done with full rituals and they were purified with Ganga water. After conversion, he first worshiped Lord Ganesha and then recited Hanuman Chalisa with full devotion.
Journey from Asad to Atharva
After purification and havan-worship, the scholars gave them a new name. Now he will not be called Asad Khan but ‘Atharva Tyagi’. Atharva looked very emotional on this occasion. While talking to the media, he clearly said that his faith has always been in Sanatan Dharma and he is a devotee of Sankatmochan Bajrang Bali. After this change he considered himself very fortunate.
