Asansol rally: Modi reiterates BJP’s Bengal‑accountability and development mantra

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a huge public gathering in Asansol, West Bengal, on Thursday, declaring that for West Bengal his only mantra now is: “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and those who looted Bengal will have to account for it!” In his speech, Modi said he is reassuring the people of West Bengal that each vote will help remove “infiltrators” from the state and will serve as a guarantee for future security. He projected that the real rule of law in Bengal will begin after 4 May, with the state government taking strict action against those engaging in goondaism and violence.

Modi also stated that the BJP will not spare any person or group that has allegedly looted the people of West Bengal, tying the line directly to the party’s promised campaign of accountability and “zero tolerance” toward corruption and weak law‑and‑order conditions. He emphasized that the current dispensation has allowed an atmosphere of fear and intimidation in large parts of the state and that a BJP government would replace this with trust, transparency and visible action against criminal elements.

The Prime Minister underscored that mothers, sisters and daughters in Bengal are demanding safety, dignity and opportunity, and pledged that the BJP will leave no stone unturned in fulfilling these aspirations. He framed the BJP’s agenda as one of holistic development—jobs, better infrastructure, and institutional strengthening—while simultaneously targeting what the party describes as “loot” and “misrule” in previous and current governments.

Across the day, Modi’s Asansol speech, including the full three‑part mantra, was widely replayed and quoted in open‑source political and social‑media channels, becoming a defining line of the BJP’s West Bengal campaign narrative for 9 April 2026.
