Asha Bhosle’s ashes were immersed at the ghat of Varanasi.

Asha Bhosle (Asha Bhosle), was a great and very popular singer of Indian cinema and music. Unfortunately, he passed away on 12 April at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after a brief illness. She was 92 years old at that time. As per his last wish, his ashes were immersed in the holy river Ganga in Varanasi on 20 April. Interestingly, Asha Bhosle passed away at the age of 92, which is exactly the same age as her elder sister, late Lata Mangeshkar.

According to India TV report, Asha Bhosle’s son Anand Bhosle and her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle completed all the funeral rituals with the entire family. The very next day of Singer’s death, i.e. on 13th April, his last rites were performed at Shivaji Park in Mumbai. State honors were given in this funeral. A large number of people participated during the funeral. Thousands of fans of political leaders, film industry artists, musicians and general public had reached there.

In the morning, his mortal remains were kept at his house in Lower Parel, where people paid tribute to him. After that the body was taken to Shivaji Park with a mourning procession. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar were also present on this occasion. Asha Bhosle’s sisters Usha Mangeshkar and Meena Khadikar were also there. Reports said that his granddaughter Zanai Bhosle looked very emotional during the entire ceremony.

Asha Bhosle started her music career at a very young age. He sang his first film song in 1943 for the Marathi film ‘Majha Bal’, which was named ‘Chala Chala Nav Bala’. After this, he debuted in Hindi films in 1948. He sang the song ‘Sawan Aaya’ in the film ‘Chunariya’ with music of Hansraj Bahl. He lent his voice to music for more than seventy years. In 2013, when she was 79 years old, she played the role of lead actress in the film ‘Mai’. In this film, she played the character of a mother suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and left alone by her children in a very sensitive manner. His acting was greatly appreciated by the critics and the audience.

Grandmother was Asha Zanai’s best friend

After the demise of Asha Bhosle, her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle shared a very emotional message. She wrote that she had lost her “all-rounder” and “best friend”. Zanai described Asha Bhosle as “the definition of life and laughter”. He further wrote, ‘She is watching all of us, especially her family, from above. I am sure that she will come back to me very soon, because she promised me so and always said so.
