New Delhi: Renowned veteran singer of the film industry, Asha Bhosle, has passed away. She breathed her last at the age of 92, having been admitted to Kandy Hospital due to deteriorating health. Her son, Anand Bhosle, confirmed the news of her demise. A wave of grief has swept through her legion of admirers.
Sharing the information, Anand Bhosle stated, “My mother, Asha Bhosle, passed away today. The final rites will be performed tomorrow at 4:00 PM.” She had been admitted to the hospital on Saturday due to ill health, where she was undergoing treatment.

Asha Bhosle Was Unwell
Asha Bhosle’s granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle, shared significant details via social media. In a post, she revealed that Asha Bhosle had been admitted on Saturday night due to a chest infection. However, Asha Bhosle ultimately passed away due to multi-organ failure.
Awards Received by the Singer
Ranked among the nation’s most legendary singers, Asha Bhosle was honored with numerous awards. She was conferred the Padma Vibhushan in 2008. In 2000, she was presented with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. She also received the National Award on two occasions.
She won the award for Best Female Playback Singer in 1981 and 1986. Additionally, she was honored with the Filmfare Award seven times. In 1996, she received a special Filmfare Award for the film Rangeela.
