The great singer Asha Bhosle, who ruled millions of hearts for eight decades with her magical voice, has passed away at the age of 92. He breathed his last at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Sunday. The news of Asha Tai’s demise has sent a wave of mourning not only in Bollywood but across the country. Multi-organ failure became the cause of death. According to hospital sources and information received from the family, Asha Bhosle was admitted to the hospital last Saturday evening after complaining of chest infection and extreme fatigue. Despite all the efforts of the doctors, he died on Sunday morning due to multi-organ failure. Her son Anand Bhosle confirmed this sad news. The last rites will be held in Shivaji Park, Bollywood gathered. The mortal remains of Asha Bhosle have been kept for the last darshan at her Lower Parel residence ‘Casa Grande’. Since morning, many big personalities including cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, AR Rahman from the film industry, Uddhav Thackeray and Supriya Sule reached his residence and paid tribute. Today at 4 pm, her last rites will be performed with full state honors at Shivaji Park in Mumbai. He proved his versatility in every genre, from classical music to peppy numbers and ghazals. He was awarded the highest honors like Dadasaheb Phalke Award and Padma Vibhushan. PM Modi expressed deep grief. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences by tweeting. He said, “Asha Bhosle ji’s extraordinary musical journey enriched our cultural heritage. Her voice will resonate for generations.” The Chief Minister of Maharashtra has also described his demise as an irreparable loss to the music world.
