The accused Ashok Kharat, who claims to be an astrologer, is currently in police custody and layers of serious crimes are being revealed against him one by one. Initially surrounded by allegations of sexual exploitation, this matter has now taken a more frightening form.

The seriousness of the entire matter has increased manifold after serious allegations like human sacrifice, superstition, use of weapons and exploitation of minors were added to the police investigation. Apart from this, now the question is also arising whether Ashok Kharat used to supply girls also? Bhondu Baba used to try to show himself as a cosmology expert and numerologist in front of people, which was also successful.

Did Ashok Kharat offer human sacrifice?

Government lawyer Shailendra Bagde revealed in the court that many suspicious things have been recovered from the house of the accused. These include evidence of the government seal, a pistol and five bullets fired from it. Police also found 21 live cartridges. It is feared that they may have been used for alleged purposes like human sacrifice. Apart from this, there are also indications of the accused being associated with Aghori practices.

Did the girls supply Kharat?

Yesterday, a minor girl had filed a case of sexual exploitation against Ashok Kharat. At the same time, Ashok Kharat is already said to have special relations with big leaders and businessmen, hence now the question is being raised whether Bhondu Baba did not supply girls to his close ones. Nashik Police has so far registered a total of 8 FIRs against accused Ashok Kharat. These include sexual exploitation as well as a case lodged by a minor girl, which has made the case more sensitive. The investigating agencies are now also investigating the possibility whether the accused used to trap other girls and exploit them?

What mysterious items were found?

During the investigation, the police also recovered musk, which is being investigated whether it is related to illegal deer hunting. Besides, the presence of creatures like tiger and snake at the spot is also being investigated whether they were real or fake.

Why did Kharat lodge an FIR?

The first FIR in this case was lodged by Ashok Kharat himself on 29 December 2025. He had alleged that he was being blackmailed through objectionable photos and videos and a demand of Rs 5 crore was being made. In February 2026, a case was also registered against an associate. Considering the seriousness of the case, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed on March 13 under the leadership of IPS officer Tejaswini Satpute.

After this, on March 17-18, a woman lodged a complaint that between 2022 and 2025, the accused sexually assaulted her several times. After this, on March 18, the SIT arrested the accused.

What did CM Fadnavis say?

While giving information in the Assembly, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that ‘So far 8 cases have been registered against the accused and three women have given consent to lodge a formal complaint. During the search, the police also seized two laptops, a revolver and 21 live cartridges from the accused. Investigating agencies believe that there may be more shocking revelations in this case. Police are hopeful that more victims may come forward in the coming days.
