The film, which hit theatres on February 14, 2020, received plenty of critical appreciation upon its release. It follows a man (Ashok) who gets another shot at building a successful marital life after his first marriage fails. After his marriage to his best friend falls apart, he gets to travel back in time for another chance to fix it through divine intervention. In our review, Sudhir Srinivasan wrote, “It’s a film written with effort, with many ideas coming full circle.” The review further added, “Ashok Selvan has a lot riding on this film, and I liked him especially in the comedy portions where he relies on animated expressions.”
The film also stars Ritika Singh, Vani Bhojan and Sha Ra. Ashwath Marimuthu remade it in Telugu, 2022’s Ori Devudastarring Vishwak Sen, Mithila Palkar, and Asha Bhat. Last year, he made even bigger fame with his second Tamil film Dragonstarring Pradeep Ranganathan, Kayadu Lohar, and Mysskin, among others.
