R Ashwin: After retiring from international cricket, India's great spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is receiving lots of congratulations. Sundar got a chance in place of Ashwin in the first test
In the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar series against Australia, India gave Sundar a chance in place of Ashwin, where he took two wickets in the second Test against the Kangaroo team. He also played an important role in India's 295-run victory by contributing 29 runs with the bat. Talking about his career, so far he has taken 24 wickets in seven test matches and scored 387 runs with the bat.
