Asian Games 2026 Cricket Schedule: Schedule of Asian Games released, India-Pakistan great match will be held on this special condition
A very exciting news is coming for cricket lovers. The cricket schedule of the upcoming Asian Games 2026 to be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan has been officially announced. In this great match, both Indian men’s and women’s teams will enter as defending champions. Both the teams have got direct quarterfinal tickets in the tournament, due to which the enthusiasm of the fans is at its peak. However, a special condition has been kept regarding the most discussed India vs Pakistan match, under which both the arch-rivals can be seen face to face on the field. Matches will be played in T20 format, know the date and venue. Cricket has been included in the Asian Games for the fourth time, before this it has been played in Guangzhou 2010, Incheon 2014 and Hangzhou 2023. This time in the Asian Games, both men’s and women’s matches will be played in T20 format and all these matches will get official international status. The women’s cricket tournament will be organized from 17 to 22 September, while the men’s matches will be played between 24 September to 1 October. In the men’s competition, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have been top seeded, due to which these four teams have got direct entry into the quarter-final stage. Six teams will face each other in the preliminary round for the remaining four places. Afghanistan, Japan and Nepal are in Group A, while Hong Kong, China, Malaysia and Oman are in Group B. The top two teams from each group will reach the quarter-finals. The rule regarding the great match between India and Pakistan is that both the teams can meet only once in the tournament and the condition for this is that both will have to secure their place in the top-4 i.e. semi-finals or finals. If both the teams win their initial knockout matches, fans can get to see an exciting India-Pakistan clash in the semi-finals or title match. Schedule of the women’s team and India’s strong squad: Talking about the women’s category, the Indian women’s team will also start its title defense against host Japan in the quarter-finals. The winning team of this match will face Bangladesh or China in the semi-finals.
