Asian Markets Updates: Due to the US-Israel-Iran war, there is mixed trading in the Asian stock markets today. Japan’s Nikkei index is trading at 56,700, down 1,329 points (2.29%). South Korea’s Kospi is trading at 6,000, down 250 points (4.03%). China’s Shanghai Composite Index is trading flat at 4,180. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index is trading flat at 26,070. Indian stock markets are closed today due to Holi.

US market declined on March 2

  • The tech-based Nasdaq Composite index closed 0.36% higher at 22.74.
  • The S&P 500 index rose 2 points (0.04%) to close at 6,881.
  • The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 73 points (0.15%) to close at 48,904.

Sensex closed down 1,048 points yesterday. Earlier, the Indian stock market fell yesterday, March 2, due to the US-Israel-Iran war. The Sensex closed at 80,239, falling 1,048 points (1.29%). Nifty also fell by about 313 points (1.24%) to 24,866.

Foreign investors sold shares worth Rs 3,295 crore on March 2

Foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 3,295 crore on March 2. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 8,593 crore. FIIs bought shares worth Rs 11,002 crore in February. During this period, DIIs bought shares worth Rs 17,324 crore. FIIs sold shares worth Rs 41,435 crore in January 2026. During this period, DIIs bought shares worth Rs 69,220 crore.

Big fall in Pakistan stock market, KSE-30 index fell 9.8%

A big fall was seen in Pakistan’s stock market on March 2. The KSE-30 index fell 4,996 points (9.73%) to close at 46,326. Earlier, due to heavy selling the market had to stop trading for 45 minutes, i.e. lower circuit was imposed.

Crude oil up 10% at $79

Energy and auto stocks fell heavily today due to rising crude oil prices. Brent crude prices rose 10% to $79 per barrel. Experts believe that if this tension increases further, oil prices may reach $120 per barrel.

This may affect the prices of petrol and diesel in India. Petrol prices in Delhi may increase from Rs 95 per liter to Rs 100, while diesel prices may increase from Rs 88 to Rs 92.
