Asia’s most beautiful island earns another international recognition

“Minutes from scooter-buzzing Ubud are artsy, low-key villages, vivid green rice paddies, lush forests, and vast jungles,” the magazine noted in its description of the Indonesian island.

Bali, one of Indonesia’s 17,000 islands, enjoys an average year-round temperature of about 30 degrees Celsius.

Visitors can explore the island by cycling through picturesque rice paddy fields, partying at vibrant beach clubs, or visiting its many sacred temples.

The list was compiled based on the experiences of travel editors, who highlighted the destinations for their ancient history, welcoming locals, and delectable cuisine.

Vietnam also earned a spot on the list, with Hoa Binh Province being recognized for its cool climate, rich cultural heritage, and relaxed pace of life.

Located around 150 kilometers from Hanoi, Hoa Binh is a favorite for those seeking tranquility and authenticity.

Other destinations on the list include Zhangye National Geopark in China, Bayon Temple in Cambodia, Jodhpur City in India, Hong Kong, and the Philippines.

In October, Bali was voted as the most beautiful island in Asia by readers of the American magazine Condé Nast Traveler in its Readers’ Choice Awards.

Bali has experienced a robust tourism recovery following the Covid-19 pandemic.

Last year, the island welcomed 15.5 million visitors, nearing its pre-pandemic numbers from 2019. In the first seven months of this year alone, Bali recorded 3.89 million arrivals, a significant increase from 2.9 million during the same period last year.
