A Delhi court heard the case on Wednesday. Additional Sessions Judge Chanderjit Singh found Andrabi guilty of section 18 of UAPA i.e. conspiracy and section 38. Section 38 deals with offenses relating to membership of a terrorist organisation.

Hate speech spread on social media and channels

Asiya Andrabi’s organization Dukhtaran-e-Millat is part of Kashmir’s separatist group ‘All Parties Hurriyat Conference’. This organization was in contact with terrorists sitting in Pakistan. With their help, innocent Kashmiris were being instigated against India, so that they could be included in the armed rebellion.

Andrabi, along with her two female colleagues, continued to propagate hate speech against India not only in Pakistani but also in Indian media. Apart from this, hate speeches were also promoted on YouTube, Facebook and other social media.

Asia’s organization has been banned

Asiya Andrabi founded the women’s separatist group Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) in 1987. However, the central government has banned this group. According to NI, Andrabi propagated hate and separatist speeches against India through various platforms. This put the country’s security, integrity and sovereignty in danger. All three are also accused of advocating separation of Jammu and Kashmir from India.

The last debate was held in September last year

Charges were framed against Asiya Andrabi and her two associates Sophie Fahmida and Nahida Nasreen in the month of February 2021. The last arguments of the case were held in the NIA court in September last year. Charges were framed against all three under sections of waging war against the Government of India, terrorist conspiracy, treason and UAPA.
