Assam Election 2026:Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has given its full strength regarding the Assam Assembly elections. Party leader and Jharkhand Chief Minister Gehmant Soren is continuously engaged in election campaign and is targeting the central government and the ‘double engine’ government through public meetings.

Fight for rights and respect: Hemant Soren

CM Soren said in his speech that political strength is necessary to fight for rights and respect. Along with him, his wife Kalpana Soren is also active in the election campaign. He said that Assam is ready for change.

Focus on tribal vote bank

JMM’s main focus is on tribals and tea garden workers, whose number is in lakhs. Soren himself is visiting these areas and meeting people, listening to their problems and especially raising the issue of low wages. The party is trying to ensure that if it gets a good vote percentage, its identity will be strengthened at the national level. At present JMM says that many of its candidates are close to victory and it is working towards creating a new political space in Assam.
