Assam Rifles military rally in Jaipur, brave women honored

Assam Rifles ex-servicemen rally was organized in Jaipur. Major General Jai Singh Bainsla described it as not just a security force but a symbol of emotional attachment. Brave women and ex-servicemen were honored in the programme.

Jaipur: A grand ex-servicemen rally was organized by Assam Rifles at BM Birla Auditorium in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. A large number of ex-servicemen, brave women and their families from different states of the country including Rajasthan, Haryana participated in this program.

The rally was presided over by Major General Jai Singh Bainsla, Additional Director General, Assam Rifles. The objective of the program was to establish dialogue with ex-servicemen, understand their problems and provide information about welfare schemes.

“Assam Rifles is not just a security force” – Major General Bainsla

Addressing the program, Major General Jai Singh Bainsla said that Assam Rifles is not just a security force, but it symbolizes deep emotional ties with the people of North-East India.

He said that Assam Rifles soldiers are not only deployed in border security but also play an active role in social service. The contribution made by the soldiers in blood donation camps is an example of the fact that their connection is not limited to military duties only, but extends to service to humanity.

Deep relationship with North East India

Major General Bainsla in his address said, “No one can separate us from North-East India. Our relationship with the people there is based on service, trust and dedication. There can be no greater well-wisher of the North-East than Assam Rifles.”

He also said that Assam Rifles is called the “Sentinel of the North-East” and is the oldest paramilitary force in the country, with a glorious tradition of dedication to the service of the nation for decades.

National service and glorious tradition

The Major General said that every ex-serviceman and present soldier should be proud of the fact that their contribution has played an important role in maintaining the unity, integrity and peace of the country.

Referring to the history and tradition of the force, he said that the legacy of Assam Rifles has been an example of service to the nation for generations and it will remain a source of inspiration for the generations to come.

Continuous efforts for the welfare of ex-servicemen

Major General Jai Singh Bainsla also informed that Assam Rifles is fully committed to the welfare of its ex-servicemen and their families. Continuous efforts are being made to solve their problems.

He said that a letter has also been written to the Chief Secretary of the State Government regarding various issues, so that the demands of the ex-servicemen can be effectively resolved.

Honoring brave women and bravery award winners

During the programme, six gallantry award winners and eight brave women who made outstanding contribution in the service of the nation were honoured. The brave women present at the felicitation ceremony looked emotional, while the people present saluted their courage and sacrifice with thunderous applause.

Special Help Desk for pension and health facilities

Special help desks were set up at the rally for ex-servicemen and their dependents. Information related to pension related matters, ECHS health facilities, grievance redressal and various welfare schemes was provided here.

Along with this, medical consultation facilities were also provided, providing direct assistance to the ex-servicemen and their families.

The initiative is part of the outreach program

Assam Rifles informed that this rally is part of their ongoing outreach programme. Under this initiative, the organization is reaching out to ex-servicemen, brave women, widows and dependents and solving their problems.

Till now, under this campaign, about 8,992 ex-servicemen and their families have been contacted at 44 places in 17 states. Apart from this, assistance has been provided to 66 bed-ridden ex-servicemen and their immediate families by personally meeting them.

Strengthened communication between ex-servicemen and soldiers

An important aspect of the program was to establish communication between ex-servicemen and currently serving soldiers. Ex-servicemen shared their experiences and inspired the youth to serve the country by joining the army and paramilitary forces.

Military discipline, traditions and patriotism were clearly visible in the ceremony, which made the entire atmosphere inspiring.
