At least 12 people were killed in an explosion in China during the New Year celebration

China welcomed the New Year on Tuesday (according to the Chinese calendar). Meanwhile, a terrible incident happened in Zhengji city. At least 12 people died in the terrible explosion. Several people were injured.

It is reported that there was a sudden explosion in a betting shop in Zhengji city of Hubei province around 2 pm on Wednesday. The surroundings shook with a loud sound. Then there was a sensation in the area. The shop caught fire due to the explosion. The whole sky is covered with black smoke. The police and fire brigade immediately reached the spot after receiving the information. After a long effort, the fire was brought under control. But it is still not clear what caused the sudden explosion. Police have already started investigating the incident.

A similar fire broke out in eastern Jiangsu province last Sunday. Eight people died. A few days later, there was another fire incident. In fact, the ‘Spring Festival’ is going on in China now.
