Heat wave is being seen across the country, especially in North India and Central India. A continuous increase in temperature is being recorded for the last two weeks. The Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave alert in many states and advised people to take measures to avoid the heat. Along with this, weather activities are still going on in Northeast India. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in a total of 12 states today and most of these states are in North-Eastern India. Heavy rain alert has been issued in many northeastern states today. Along with this, there is a possibility of increase in heat in most of the states.

These days the temperature is continuously increasing in Delhi-NCR. People are feeling extremely hot due to the strong sunlight during the day and a heatwave alert has been issued when the temperature reaches 43 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, even today the people of Delhi will have to endure the havoc of heat and hot winds will trouble people both during the day and at night. However, there are signs of change in the weather from tomorrow i.e. 26th April.

In which states will it rain?

Last night the weather suddenly took a turn in Uttarakhand and it started raining. Along with this, incidents of storm and lightning also came to light. This sudden rain has brought relief from the rising temperatures in Uttarakhand. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in 9 districts of the state even today. There may be snowfall and hailstorm along with rain in Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh for the next 3 days. There is a possibility of rain in Tehri, Almora, Nainital, Dehradun with strong winds at the speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour.

Talking about Himachal Pradesh, the effect of western disturbance is being seen here also. According to the Meteorological Department, cloud movement will continue in some parts today. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has also issued a rain alert. The Meteorological Department said that there may be rain in many districts with strong winds. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti and Kullu. The effect of western disturbance will also be seen in Jammu and Kashmir and there is a possibility of rain in many districts today.

Rain in Northeast India also

Apart from the hilly states of North India, there is a possibility of rain in Northeast India also. According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circulation is over Assam, due to which the weather pattern has changed in the north-eastern part. There is a possibility of rain in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Sikkim, West Bengal, Odisha and Chhattisgarh. An alert of heavy rain has been issued in some parts of West Bengal and Sikkim.

In which states will heat wave affect?

The Meteorological Department has issued heat wave alert in many states. A warning of severe heat and heat wave has been issued in many states including Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh during the next 3-4 days.
