Punjab News: Aam Aadmi Party has claimed that according to the forensic investigation of Punjab Police, Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Atishi had not used the word ‘Guru’ in his statement. After the investigation report came out, AAP has said that the video viral on social media was completely fake and edited, which hurt the religious sentiments of the Sikh community.
Deliberate attempt to spread confusion- AAP
Aam Aadmi Party says that a deliberate attempt was made to spread confusion through fake video. Describing this entire matter as very serious, the party said that respect for Sikh Gurus is paramount in every situation and such misleading content creates tension in the society. The party has demanded that strict action be taken against those making and sharing the video, so that such incidents are not repeated in future.
Any such act will not be tolerated
Aam Aadmi Party also said that any act that hurts the faith of the Sikh community cannot be tolerated. The party clarified that it has always respected the Sikh Gurus and will continue to do so in future also. After forensic investigation proved that the word ‘Guru’ was not there in Atishi’s statement, the party has said that the truth in the entire matter will come out.
Confirmed in forensic investigation
On the other hand, Punjab Police reportedly conducted a thorough investigation of the viral video on social media. Investigation revealed that the audio of the video was tampered with. On this basis, an FIR has been registered in Jalandhar Police Commissionerate. It has been said in the FIR that the use of the word ‘Guru’ has not been confirmed in the forensic examination of the audio extracted from the viral post.
Those responsible should apologize publicly
According to the police, many such posts had gone viral on social media in which the video was shared with inflammatory captions. Aam Aadmi Party has said that after the truth comes out, those responsible should come forward and apologize publicly and the law will take its course. The party has appealed that everyone should behave with restraint and responsibility in matters related to religious sentiments.
