Attack on Kuwait airport, one Indian citizen killed; Embassy confirmed
Kuwait. An Indian citizen has lost his life in a horrific attack at Kuwait airport. The Indian Embassy in Kuwait has confirmed this tragic incident. The Embassy has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the Indian citizen. Embassy officials are in constant touch with the victim’s family. They are coordinating with Kuwaiti authorities to provide all possible help and support to the family. The embassy is also working to provide full assistance to those who have been injured in this attack.
This attack was targeted at the Passenger Building (T1) of Kuwait International Airport. Kuwait’s army has alleged that Iran carried out this attack through drones. Army spokesman Brigadier General Saud Abdulaziz al-Otaibi called it Iran’s criminal aggression. The airport building has suffered heavy damage due to this attack. Many people have been injured in the attack, who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Due to security reasons, Kuwait has stopped air traffic and flights have been diverted to other airports.
At the same time, Iran’s government media ‘Press TV’ has made a different claim. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) says that they carried out this attack as a retaliatory action. According to Iran, the US had targeted one of its oil tankers near the Strait of Hormuz and a communications tower on Qashm Island. In response, Iran fired missiles and drones at the headquarters of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain and a regional airbase.
Kuwait’s army has said that they are keeping a close watch on the situation. The army is fully prepared to maintain the security and stability of the country. They are taking necessary steps to deal with any situation. This attack has further increased the tension amid the deteriorating security situation in West Asia.
