Attack on the convoy of Yogi's minister Manohar Lal, security personnel and staff beaten up, pistol also looted

Lucknow. The convoy of UP Minister of State for Labor and Employment Manohar Lal Panth (Mannu Kori) was attacked by a mob in Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh). On Friday evening, the minister's staff including his security personnel were dragged down from the vehicle and beaten with kicks and punches.

Along with beating the security personnel, the people in the crowd also looted his service pistol. There was panic in the police department after receiving the news of attack on the minister's convoy. Top police officers also reached. The police laid a blockade late in the evening and arrested two accused and recovered the pistol.

Police are raiding in search of other accused. Minister of State for Labor and Employment Manohar Lal was returning via Gwalior after attending a program organized in Agra on Friday.

According to Public Relations Officer Sonu Choubey, as soon as the minister's convoy reached near Baghel Dhaba via Gwalior-Dabra Highway, the driver tried to take the vehicle out with the reverse hand due to the jam.

During this time, an argument started with a bike rider about taking out the vehicle. Security personnel Sarvesh Kumar present in the convoy slapped the bike rider. The bike rider went away threateningly. After reaching some distance, the youth called 10-15 people along with him and surrounded the minister's car.

Security personnel Sarvesh Kumar, orderly Rakesh Kumar, PRO Sonu were taken down and beaten severely. They started beating him with kicks and punches in front of the minister. Nine mm pistol and ten rounds of cartridges of accused Sarvesh Kumar were also looted.

As soon as the information about the attack on the minister's convoy was received, there was panic among the police officers. Top officers reached the spot. A report has been registered against unknown at Bilua police station.
