Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said some people from Odisha entered the premises and met a Congress MLA and offered him Rs 5 crore in exchange for votes. “Two people escaped while two were caught.” He said, “…four people from Odisha had come to break our MLAs. He had brought a blank check with him. He had booked the rooms online with the help of local BJP workers. They came to the resort and tried to meet our MLAs. But our MLAs refused.

Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar further said, “The MLAs informed us about this and our workers caught them immediately. Along with the blank cheque, they handed them over to the police. They had offered to pay around Rs 5 crore to each MLA. So, this has been tried. It is very unfortunate. A complaint has been lodged, the law will take its course.”

The party is trying to ensure that the opposition parties are not able to win over its MLAs. It is being told that eight Congress MLAs and their families have been sent to Wonderla Resort located in Bidadi area of ​​Bengaluru South district, where Congress-ruled Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar is believed to have political clout. According to sources, these MLAs from Odisha are under the supervision of Karnataka Deputy CM of Congress.
