New Delhi: Record breaking heat has scorched people in many parts of the country. But now there is news of relief. According to the latest estimates of the Indian Meteorological Department, the effect of heat wave has weakened in most parts of Central India. Whereas in the remaining areas too, a drop in temperature will be recorded within the next 24 hours.

Alert of strong storm and rain in 17 states

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of severe thunderstorm and rain in 17 states of the country within the next 8 hours. There is a possibility of stormy winds at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour in North-West, Central and Eastern India on May 31.

Alert in Kerala, Tamil Nadu

The pace of monsoon has increased. The south-west monsoon is advancing rapidly and on May 30, it has covered many new parts of the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Lakshadweep. The conditions remain very favorable for it to completely hit Kerala, Tamil Nadu and surrounding peninsular areas in the next 4 to 5 days.

It will rain in these states

The 17 states for which the Meteorological Department has issued a rain warning include Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Mizoram and Nagaland.

Delhi weather

It will be partly cloudy in Delhi. It rained in Delhi yesterday also. According to meteorologists, there may be light drizzle this evening. During this period, strong winds will blow at a speed of 40 to 50 km per hour in Delhi. Clouds will be seen on 1st and 2nd June also but there is no hope of rain.

Uttar Pradesh weather

There is a storm alert in Uttar Pradesh. There is an orange alert of storm and rain on May 31 in big cities of UP like Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Agra and Meerut. The weather will be especially active in Shamli, Bulandshahr and Meerut districts of western UP, where winds will blow at a speed of 50 km per hour.

Bihar weather

There is a warning of lightning in Bihar. Heavy rain is expected in many districts of Bihar including Patna, Muzaffarpur, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Purnia and Darbhanga for the next two days (31 May to 1 June). During this period, the Meteorological Department has advised people to remain alert due to strong winds and lightning at some places.
