Patna. Cold weather has set in in Bihar. Six districts of the state – Sheikhpura, Aurangabad, Rajgir, Pusa, Saharsa and Kishanganj – recorded minimum temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius on Friday. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in the state will remain dry for the coming seven days and there will be light to moderate fog in the morning.

The minimum temperature in the capital Patna was recorded at 13.3 degrees Celsius, while Pusa (Samastipur) was the coldest place, where the temperature was only 7.9 degrees Celsius. Visibility was lowest in Purnia, where visibility was only up to 250 meters.

According to Meteorological Center Patna, there are indications of partly cloudy sky in most parts of the state. There will be fog in the morning, but even after the sun comes out during the day, it will remain cool due to westerly winds. Due to the influence of westerly winds, the temperature increasing effect of sunlight will be less.

Experts say that due to cold and fog, especially the elderly and children should be careful. Drivers need to be cautious due to low visibility on the road during morning and evening hours. The cold will increase rapidly in the coming days.
