The 5-match test series between India and Australia is going to start from 22nd November. Team India will go to Australia next month for this series, but Shami has not been included in the recently announced team. Shami, who has been suffering from injury since last year, is not fully fit yet. The selection committee has decided to send him to Australia in the middle of the series only after he proves his fitness in the Ranji Trophy.

Australian coach's concern continues

Australian coach Andrew McDonald is also not relieved despite Shami's absence. He praised Shami's accurate bowling and said that his absence is a big blow for India, but considering the performance of the new bowlers in the last tour, it would be a mistake to take the Indian team lightly.

The Indian team has created history by winning the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on the last two Australia tours. Shami's role was especially important in 2018. However, he was out in 2020-21 due to injury. Nevertheless, India won the series due to the strong performance of new players like Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, and Navdeep Saini.
