Delhi: So far, fast bowlers have dominated the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Out of the total 93 wickets fallen so far, only 6 wickets have been taken by the spinners. In such a situation, there is a possibility of fast bowlers getting help on the MCG pitch also.

Captain Pat Cummins gave information about the pitch
Australian captain Pat Cummins believes that the MCG pitch is 'hard and strong'. He said, “The pitch looks very good. The pitches here have been becoming the same for the last few years. This time too there is a good layer of grass and the pitch looks hard. In the last 5-6 years, excellent work has been done on the pitches here. This time also the pitch will be similar. However, how the heat affects it remains to be seen.”
Melbourne's heat will become a challenge
In the last Test, the players had to face challenges due to continuous rain and temperature up to 35 degrees in Brisbane. There may be difficulties in Melbourne also due to the Australian heat. The Australian captain said, “We will take a decision after seeing the pitch and experiencing the weather. Heat can be an important factor. We bowled in 35 degree temperatures in Brisbane and were fine. But, 39 degree heat may be a bit much.”
MCG curator's opinion
MCG curator Matt Page said that there will be something special for the fast bowlers on the pitch here. He said, “Our pitch may not be as fast as Brisbane and Perth, but over the last few years we have brought good bounce and pace to it. This is very encouraging for the fast bowlers. There is grass on the pitch, seeing which the fast bowlers will definitely be excited.”
