Rural Fire Service Commissioner Trent Curtin said a 59-year-old firefighter died when a tree fell on him while fighting a forest fire near Bulahdela City, New South Wales on Sunday night. Curtin reported that the firefighter was seriously injured by the Russians and could not be saved.
