Avoid travelling to Iran: MEA issues strict advisory, both air and road routes are risky

New Delhi . Amid rising regional tensions, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has issued a new travel advisory for Indian citizens. It clearly states that travel to Iran should be avoided at this time, as both air and road routes are not considered safe.The Ministry has urged Indian nationals in Iran to leave the country as soon as possible through land border routes established in coordination with the Embassy. This warning comes amid reports of a partial resumption of flights between India and Iran .

The Indian Embassy in Tehran also
issued a statement saying that due to the ongoing tensions in the region, airspace restrictions and operational uncertainties remain in place. Therefore, international flights have not yet fully returned to normal.
