Ayesha Omar breaks silence on leaked photo controversy

Pakistani actress and model Ayesha Omar has finally spoken out after several years regarding the controversy surrounding her leaked vacation photos.

In a recent interview with BBC Urdu, Ayesha Omar said that the private images were shared on social media without her consent while she was on holiday in Thailand with her close friend and actress Maria Wasti.

She explained that some of the pictures showed her wearing a swimsuit, while others featured her in summer outfits such as skirts. She said the photos were taken during a private vacation and were never meant for public circulation.

The actress revealed that after the images went viral, she faced intense criticism. She added that the backlash had a negative impact on her professional career as well.

Ayesha Omar stated that at the time, several producers preferred a specific social image for female actors, which resulted in her losing certain opportunities in the industry.

She strongly rejected rumors regarding extramarital relationships, calling them false and baseless.

The actress emphasized that sharing private images without consent is a serious violation of privacy and personal boundaries.

She further said she is now working with an NGO to raise awareness about the misuse of private data and images.

Ayesha Omar added that her decision to speak about the issue after many years is not only to share her personal experience but also to educate people about the serious consequences of violating someone’s privacy.
