Shopkeeper Mahesh showed him many designs. The woman looked at the jewelery like a very normal customer, due to which no one suspected her at all.

How was the entire conspiracy hatched?

Police investigation revealed that Payal and Rahul had done complete planning in advance. Rahul had bought a fake pistol and burqa from the market, so that his identity could be hidden. Payal went inside the shop alone, while Rahul waited at some distance with his bike.

What happened when the shopkeeper became suspicious?

As soon as she got the chance, Payal picked up the gold necklace and chain and started putting it in the bag. When the shopkeeper tried to stop him, he took out a fake pistol from his waist, pointed it at him and threatened him. ‘If you move forward, I will shoot you’. On hearing this, there was chaos in the shop and Payal ran away from the spot.

A case was registered on the complaint of bullion trader Mahesh and the police arrested both of them within a few hours.
