Ayodhya Premier League: Ganga Warriors-Gomti Thunder won the league match on the second day, Dhruv Pratap-Priyanshu were man-of-the-match.

Ganga Warriors and Gomti Thunder teams strengthened their position in the pool by registering wins in the league matches held on Thursday, the second day of Ayodhya Premier League T-20. RSO Animesh Saxena awarded Dhruv Pratap Singh of Ganga Warriors and Priyanshu Pandey of Gomti Thunder with Man-of-the-Match trophy.

Under the auspices of UPCA, two league matches were held on the second day of the ongoing APL T-20 at the Dr. Ambedkar International Sports Complex Cricket Stadium in Dabhasemer. In the first match, Gomti Warriors won the toss and invited Yamuna Super Kings to bat. Yamuna team scored 128 runs losing three wickets in 20 overs.

In this, Vinayak Nigam contributed a brilliant 91 runs with the help of six fours and seven sixes and remained not out. Atif, Hrithik and Anmol of Gomti team took one wicket each. In reply, while batting, Gomati team scored 130 runs losing just one wicket in 10.1 overs and won by nine wickets. Himanshu Singh contributed 55 runs with the help of eight fours and two sixes, Priyanshu Pandey contributed 51 runs with the help of four fours and five sixes. Only Surya Pratap of Yamuna team managed to take one wicket. Priyanshu of Gomati team was the man-of-the-match.

In the second match, Ganga Warriors team won the toss and invited Chambal Challengers to bat. While batting, Chambal team scored 135 runs losing eight wickets in 18 overs. In this, Anuj Rajput contributed 41 runs with the help of six fours and two sixes, Aditya contributed 26 runs, Ankur contributed 20 runs. Vishal, Dhruv, Saurabh and Pankaj of Ganga team took two wickets each. In reply, Ganga team, who came to bat, won the match in 16.3 overs with three wickets remaining.

Krishna Sahu contributed 51 runs, Dhuva contributed 32 runs. Chambal team’s Sachin took three wickets, Vatsal took two and Saurabh took one wicket. Dhruv Pratap of Ganga team was the man-of-the-match. DCA District Secretary Umer Ahmed said that the semi-finals of the competition will be held on March 26 and the final on March 27. On this occasion, organizing joint secretary Bal Kishan Nishad, sub-sports officers, trainers, officials and sports lovers were present.
