As soon as the title of the film was revealed, people knew that the story was going to revolve around relationships and extra marital affairs. After its release, the film has received mixed response from the audience, but despite this, the film has been successful in earning decent money at the worldwide box office.

Now Ayushmann Khurrana himself has broken his silence on this entire issue and has clearly said that the purpose of the film is not to promote wrong relationships.

In a recent interview, Ayushmann Khurrana said that ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ is a light-hearted family entertainer. He said, “We are not supporting infidelity through this film. The male lead of our film remains completely loyal to his wife. But the story creates such a situation where it becomes a comic situation.”

Ayushmann further said that he always wants to do such films which the whole family can watch sitting together. Referring to his daughter, he said that his 12 year old daughter Varushka saw the edited version of the film and liked it a lot. According to Ayushmann, the biggest criterion for him is that his films are able to entertain audiences of all ages.

Talking about the box office, the film has made a satisfactory start on the first day. According to reports, ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ has made a worldwide collection of around Rs 5.62 crore on the opening day. Trade experts believe that if the film gets good word of mouth on the weekend, there may be a big jump in its earnings.

The last few times have not been very good for Ayushmann Khurrana at the box office. However, his film ‘Dream Girl 2’ was very much liked by the audience and now once again he is trying to make a comeback through the comedy genre. In such a situation, everyone’s eyes are on whether ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ will prove to be another hit for Ayushmann or not.
