B-1 coach burnt in flames in Rajdhani Express: Just ‘short circuit’ or some deep conspiracy? Know the truth about those 15 dreadful minutes!

Ratlam. What happened in the early hours of Sunday in the country’s most VIP and secure ‘Rajdhani Express’ has shocked everyone. A fire suddenly broke out in B-1 (Third AC) coach of Delhi-bound Rajdhani Express near Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, so terrible that in the blink of an eye the entire coach turned into a ball of fire. Thankfully, 68 passengers were pulled from death within 15 minutes. But the big question is, how did the fire suddenly break out in such a premium train? Was it really just a ‘short circuit’ or is there some unsolved mystery hidden behind it?

That scary scene at 5:30 in the morning… Mysterious smoke rising from below-
The incident took place around 5:30 am between Luni Richha and Vikramgarh Alot stations of Kota division of West Central Railway. When most of the passengers were in deep sleep, suddenly thick smoke started rising mysteriously from the lower part of the B-1 coach. Before anyone could understand anything, the smoke turned into high and scary flames. The fire was so huge that it engulfed the B-1 coach as well as the adjacent SLR (luggage brake van).

That ‘rescue operation’ of 68 breaths and 15 minutes –
Seeing the orgy of fire, it seemed as if a major accident was about to happen. But the train guard noticed the flames in time. He immediately sent an emergency message to the loco pilot and the high-speed train was stopped mid-track. After this, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the railway staff risked their lives and safely rescued all the 68 passengers trapped in the B-1 coach within just 15 minutes. Passengers say that if there had been a delay of even a few minutes, there could have been a pile of dead bodies in the country today.

Is ‘short circuit’ really the reason? Inquiry orders-
Railway officials are currently citing ‘short circuit’ as the cause of the fire on the basis of preliminary investigation. But the speed with which the fire spread throughout the coach has raised many serious questions.

Was there a major mistake in maintenance?

Or is there some other suspicious reason behind this incident?
Considering the seriousness of the matter and this ‘suspense’, Railways has immediately ordered a detailed investigation, so that the real truth of this dreadful fire can be revealed.

Traffic jam on busy routes like Delhi-Mumbai-
Due to this high-voltage drama and accident, the Delhi-Mumbai railway route was affected for hours. For safety reasons, the overhead electric supply (OHE) was immediately disconnected. After a lot of effort, the fire brigade teams brought the fire under control and separated the burnt coaches from the train. During this period, many trains including Mumbai-Jaipur Superfast Express had to be stopped at different stations. Later, by adding additional coaches from Kota station, the passengers were sent towards their destination.
