Baahubali 3 In The Works? Kanguva Producer’s Comment Excites Fans

The Baahubali film franchise, comprising Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion was a hit among the audiences. With its mind-blowing action sequences, powerful storytelling and breath-taking visuals, the film series went on to win several accolades. With Baahubali 2’s cliffhanger ending, rumours about a possible third part have already started doing the rounds. Now, film producer KE Gnanavel Raja, who is busy promoting his upcoming film Kanguva has seemingly confirmed the speculations about Baahubali 3’s third installment.

During a conversation with Desimartini, KE Gnanavel Raja revealed that Baahubali 3 is in the works. The producer added that he learned the news “while discussing it with filmmakers” recently. He said, “Baahubali 3 is in the planning stages. I found out about this while discussing it with filmmakers last week. They did Baahubali 1 and 2 back-to-back, but they’re now planning Baahubali 3 after a gap.” The revelation has sparked intrigue among cinema-goers.

In the same conversation, KE Gnanavel Raja added that the second part of Kalki 2898 AD, featuring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan will premiere after the release of two other movies. Gnanavel also confirmed that Salaar will have a similar fate to Kalki 2898 AD. “Even Salaar and Salaar 2 will have a gap between them. Once the audience connects with the characters, they will enjoy them whenever they are made. Take, for example, Suriya’s Singam series. There was a gap of three to four movies between each installment,” he said.

Directed by SS Rajamouli, the Baahubali franchise saw Prabhas playing the double role of Amarendra Baahubali and his son Shivudu/Mahendra Baahubali. The two-part action drama also stars Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia and Ramya Krishnan in important roles.

Speaking about KE Gnanavel Raja’s upcoming film Kanguva, the action fantasy stars Suriya in the lead. Bobby Deol, Natarajan Subramaniam, Yogi Babu, Disha Patani, Jagapathi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Anandaraj, Kovai Sarala and KS Ravikumar are also a part of the project. Directed by Siva, Kanguva is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 300 crores. Bankrolled collaboratively by Studio Green and Uv Creations, Kanguva is scheduled to hit the silver screens on November 14.
