Babar Azam makes first statement after getting dropped from Test team, reacts to Pakistan’s win over England

Babar Azam, who was dropped from the Test team, reacted to Pakistan’s win over England in the second game. He didn’t say anything when the new selection committee decided to remove him for the remaining two matches against the visiting English side.

With the Men in Green registering a victory by 152 runs in Multan, Babar reacted to the emphatic performance of the team.

“Well done, team! Fantastic win. Proud of the effort and spirit. 🇵🇰👏,” he wrote on X.

Chasing 297 runs, England were bowled out for 144. Noman Ali was sensational with the ball, taking eight wickets. Sajid Khan dismissed two batters. Ben Stokes (37), Brydon Carse (27) and Ollie Pope (22) looked good but failed to carry on.

Pakistan posted 366 and 221 in two innings, with Kamran Ghulam’s hundred in the first essay playing a big role in Pakistan’s dominance.

England were restricted to 291, with Ollie Pope amassing a three-digit mark. However, Sajid Khan’s seven-wicket haul took the Shan Masood-led team ahead. Noman Ali got rid of three batters. The three-match series is levelled with one more Test to go. England won the first match by an innings and 47 runs.
