Babar Azam will not get a place in Pakistan’s team for Asia Cup? Gujarati
The performance of Pakistan team’s experienced batsman Babar Azam has been very good in international cricket. He has played an important role in Pakistan’s victory by batting strongly in many matches. However, for some time now he has not been getting a place in Pakistan’s T20 team. This is the reason why Pakistan’s performance in T20 cricket has not been so good in recent times. Pakistan is ranked eighth in the ICC Men’s T20 rankings. Recently, former Pakistan player Rashid Latif has raised questions regarding Babar Azam’s place in the national team. He has asked a big question to the Pakistan Cricket Board before the Asia Cup 2025.
Rashid Latif said that Babar Azma had scored thousands of runs. If he is not in the eighth ranked Pakistan team, then the question of Salman Ali Agha does not arise. He cannot come into the team because of three centuries. If Babar Azam could not come into the team despite scoring thousands of runs, then Salman Ali Agha could not even come close to the Pakistan cricket team.
If we talk about Salman Ali Agha, he is the captain of Pakistan’s T20 team. Under his captaincy, the team recently faced defeat in the T20 series against Bangladesh. After the removal of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, the PCB appointed Salman Ali Agha as the captain of the team. He has led Pakistan in 18 T20 matches so far, out of which he has won 9 and lost 9 matches.
Talking about Babar Azam’s captaincy record, he has led the Pakistan team in 85 T20 matches, out of which he has won 48 while the team has lost 30 matches. 7 matches are being drawn. Babar Azam played his last T20 match for Pakistan against South Africa in Centurion in December 2024. Talking about the statistics of the experienced batsman in this format, he has scored 4223 runs in 128 matches at an average of 39.83. He has three centuries and 36 half-centuries to his name. His best score is 122 runs.
Talking about Salman Ali Aaga, he has scored 380 runs in 20 T20 matches at an average of 27.14. He has three half-centuries in his name and the best score of the captain of Pakistan T20 team is 56 runs. Asia Cup 2025 is starting from 9th September, for which Pakistan cricket team has not been announced yet. Babar Azam played his last T20 in December last year. He was not a part of the Pakistan team in the recent T20 match against West Indies. In such a situation, there is suspense regarding his selection in the Asia Cup 2025 team. However, fans would like Babar Azam to come and shine in the Pakistan team in Asia Cup 2025.
