Sakshi Malik, along with wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia, was a prominent face of the long-running protests against Brij Bhushan Singh. The three had alleged that former Indian Wrestling Federation chief Brij Bhushan had sexually harassed female wrestlers during his tenure. The hearing of this case is still going on in a Delhi court.
Yesterday, Sakshi Malik made a sensational allegation against wrestler-turned-politician Babita Phogat. Sakshi revealed that Babita Phogat wanted to become the president of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) by replacing the then wrestling federation chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Sakshi said that it was Babita Phogat who had instigated the wrestlers against Brij Bhushan Singh.
