Ban on entry of non-Sanatanis, big decision of BKTC regarding Kedarnath-Badrinath Dham

Non Sanatanis Entry Banned: An important decision has been taken in the budget meeting of Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee i.e. BKTC. Under this decision, entry of non-Sanatanis has been banned. Also, a budget of Rs 121 crore 7 lakh was passed for the upcoming yatra. In which Rs 63 crore has been allocated for Kedarnath and Rs 57 crore has been allocated for Badrinath.

During this, BKTC President Hemant Dwivedi said that Chardham Yatra is starting in the month of April and the gates of Badrinath Dham will open on 23rd April and the gates of Kedarnath will open on 22nd April.

Entry of non-Sanatanis completely banned

Information about this decision came to light after the BKTC meeting. However, even before this decision, BKTC President Hemant Dwivedi had said that entry of non-Sanatanis will be banned in Badrinath Dham, Kedarnath Dham and all the temples under the committee. After which there was a lot of debate on social media also.

BKTC presented the budget

In the budget meeting, a provision of Rs 63 crore was made for Kedarnath Dham and a budget of Rs 57 crore was allocated for Badrinath Dham. The meeting was conducted by Chief Executive Officer Vijay Prasad Thapliyal. After which these important decisions have been taken. Also, information was given that the doors of Kedarnath Dham will open on 22nd April and the doors of Badrinath Dham will open on 23rd April.

Preparations intensified before the journey

BKTC President Hemant Dwivedi said that reconstruction work is going on at a fast pace in Badrinath. He said that after the completion of the reconstruction of Kedarnath under the vision of PM Narendra Modi and the instructions of CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, development work is now being taken forward in Badrinath. The state government is completing the Yatra preparations in the Dhams at a fast pace.

He further said that the objective of BKTC is to provide safe, simple and easy darshan system to the devotees. Keeping this in mind, necessary provisions have been made in the budget and officials have been instructed to complete all the preparations on time before the commencement of the Yatra, so that the devotees can get better facilities during the Yatra of 2026-27.
