New Delhi : Bajaj Auto is preparing to launch a new model of its popular Chetak electric scooter on December 20, 2024. This scooter was first introduced in India on 14 January 2020. The popularity of Chetak in the Indian market can be gauged from the fact that more than 3,00,000 units have been sold so far.

Bajaj Chetak competes with other electric scooters like TVS iQube, Ola S1 and Ather Rizta. According to reports, several important changes will be made in the new Chetak model, which includes a new chassis and better placement of the battery pack under the floor. Apart from this, larger boot space will also be available in the new model.
Battery and range will improve
Bajaj Chetak is currently available in two battery pack options – 2.88kWh and 3.2kWh. With their help, this scooter provides a range of 123 to 137 kilometers on a single charge. The new model is likely to have a larger battery pack, which may further increase its range.

Currently, Bajaj Chetak is priced between ₹ 95,998 to ₹ 1,28,744 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). There may be a slight increase in the price of the new model.
