Today we will tell you how to make sweet mathri from this millet, which will taste delicious and is also good for health.

It is made of millet, jaggery and sesame. The special thing is that all these three things are very beneficial in the winter season. Due to their hot nature, they retain body heat even in extreme cold. If you have not tried this dish yet, then definitely try making it once with this method.

Material

  • Millet flour – 2 cups
  • Jaggery – 1/2 cup
  • Sesame seeds – 1/2 cup
  • Water – 1/2 cup
  • Oil – for frying

Bajra Mathri: Method

1- To make millet mathri, first put half a cup of water in a pan and heat it. Add jaggery in it and cook until jaggery and water become homogeneous.

2- After this, add millet flour and sesame seeds in the pan and mix well. Prepare its soft dough. If needed, you can add a little more water and mix.

3- Now turn off the gas and take out the dough in a vessel and knead it well for 5-7 minutes. Now make small balls of this dough. Place each ball on your palms and press it lightly and shape it into a tikki.

4- Apply some sesame seeds on both sides of it. Now heat oil in a pan. After the oil is hot, put the prepared tikkis in it and deep fry them.

5- Fry the tikkis until they become crispy and golden on both sides. After this, take them out in a plate. Fry all the tikkis in the same manner. Now let them cool and then store them in an airtight container.
