Students claim that due to the closure of colleges and hostels, their studies have been disrupted and their future is in danger. They are demanding reopening of classes and hostels and action against police officials accused of raiding the campus and indulging in violence and arrests.
Student organizations have condemned the “militarization” of educational institutions and accused authorities of using campuses for non-academic purposes and fostering division between Baloch and Pashtun students.
The students vowed to continue their struggle until their demands are met, warning that if authorities fail to address their concerns, they will spread their protest to other cities in the region.
