Ban on firecrackers in many states including Bihar, timing slot fixed
Special precautions have been announced in different states during Diwali because people have to face problems due to pollution. At many places, people face difficulty in breathing due to going to protest. Delhi's air has reached 'very bad' category. Apart from this, there are some cities where if control is not taken then there can be a lot of problems.
Ban has been imposed in Delhi
Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) has banned the manufacturing, storage, sales and use of firecrackers which will last till January 1, 2025. Apart from this, Bihar government has banned all types of firecrackers including green firecrackers in Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur and Hajipur.
There are many states where considering the seriousness of health, the decision to ban firecrackers has been taken. For example, the Supreme Court and NGT have implemented a new ban on firecrackers in Punjab and Tamil Nadu. The timing has been fixed by the government. In Tamil Nadu, bursting of firecrackers will be allowed only from 6 am to 7 am and from 7 pm to 8 pm.
